Bastrop defeated Austin High 14-7 at House Park Stadium in Austin. In the first quarter, the Austin defense returned two turnovers into Bastrop territory but were unable to score. Bastrop scored first to take a 7-0 lead. Austin got its lone touchdown in the third quarter after a fumble return by Darrel Green set up a 2-yard scoring run by Cayleb Jones. The Bears then scored on a 32 yard pass from Josiah Monroe to Auston Shipley to take a 14-7 lead with less than 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Auston Shipley had 6 catches for 116 yards during the game. Austin had blitzed Monroe throughout the game, but he was able to evade the rushers. The Maroons got the ball inside Bastrop territory four times after Jones' touchdown but failed to get any more points and the Bears won 14-7. Bastrop won their eighth straight game and are 5-0 in District 25-5A.
