Reagan scored on their first possession on a 1 yard run by Mulbah Car for a 6-0 lead when the PAT failed. Bastrop quickly scored on a 42-yard touchdown run by Jovahn Jones. PAT was good by Jose Sanchez giving Bastrop a 7-6 lead. In the 2nd quarter Bastrop was deep in Reagan territory several times but were only able to get two field goals of 31 and 38yds by Sanchez with a safety in between. The Bears lead was now 15-6. But Bastrop was to remain scoreless for the rest of the game. Car, one of the leading runners in the District, took over by scoring on a 52-yard run and Reagan now trailed 15-13. He then scored again on a 10 yd run with 20 seconds left in the half giving Reagan a 20-15 lead. There was no scoring in the 3rd period. Led by Car’s running, the Raiders made a dominant 19 play-93 yard touchdown drive taking over 11 minutes off the clock. Amado Aguilera scored the final touchdown with 2:20 left in the game giving Reagan the victory 27-15. Jones led Bastrop rushers with 85 yards. Car led Reagan rushers with 175 yards. Reagan led in 1st downs 17-10, rushing yards 196-142, and passing yards 167-25.
