Bastrop defeated Seguin in a strong showing by a score of 51-21. Josiah Monroe passed for 325 yards and rushed for 95 yards in accounting for 5 touchdown passes and running for a 59 yard touchdown run. The Bears fell behind on the 1st play from scrimmage when Brig Gerlich threw a 73 yard touchdown pass to Khari Miller for a 7-0 lead. The Bears came back to tie the score on a Monroe touchdown pass of 24 yards to DeAndre Gaines and an extra point by Hart McMillan. Monroe than passed to Trae Bunton for a 39 yard touchdown giving the Bears a 14-7 lead. In the 2nd quarter, Robert Nunn scored on a 67 yard pass from Monroe to up the score to 21-7. Seguin then scored on a 6 yard run by Gerlich. The half ended on a 20 yd FG by McMillan and a Bear 24-14 lead. The Bears started the 3rd quarter with a 59 yd touchdown run by Monroe. Seguin countered with a 2 yard Gerlich touchdown run and the score became 31-21. Bastrop then scored with a Monroe to Mason Foytik 29 yard pass. The 2pt try was no good. The Bears finished the quarter with a Monroe to Bunton 12 yard pass and a 44-21 lead. In the final quarter, the Bears made the only score on a Mark Jackson 2 yd run and a final score of 51-21. The 1st downs were tied at 16-16. The Bears led in rushing yards 190-122 and passing yards 325 to 245.
