After being behind 21-14 at halftime, the Bears came back strongly in the 2nd half to win 52-35. The win assured a playoff spot along with Hays and Westlake in District 16-5A. The Bears scored first on a 3-yard run by Ryan Lincoln. Anderson ended scoring in the first quarter with a 29-yard field goal, giving the Bears a 7-3 lead at the end of the quarter. Lincoln again scored in the 2nd quarter on a 5-yard run. Anderson then scored the next 18 points on two touchdown passes and another field goal to go ahead 21-14 at halftime. After a 13 play drive to start the 3rd quarter, Jordan Monroe scored on a 7-yard run. The Bears then blocked an Anderson punt on their 11 yard line. Jason Klaus scored on the first play on an 11-yard run. Anderson closed the scoring in the quarter on a 25 yard pass leaving the score 28-28. The Bears then took control in the final period. The first score was a 25 yard field goal by Kevin Klaus. This was followed by a 25 yard touchdown run by Lincoln. Anderson countered with a 20 yard touchdown pass. Then Bastrop finished the scoring with a 30 yard Jason Klaus run followed by a 1-yard run by Monroe giving the Bears a 52-35 victory. Lincoln led the Bears rushing with 188 yards followed by Jason Klaus with 183 yards. Kevin Ashmos led in passing for Anderson with 318 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Bears led in 1st downs 28-21, and rushing 452-85.
