Bastrop defeated Del Valle 38-21 at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The 1st quarter ended scoreless. Del Valle took a 7 point lead in the 2nd quarter when Bastrop failed to get a punt off from their 5 yard line. Del Valle scored shortly on a 5 yard run. The Bears tied the game on a 14 yard run by Jonathan Harper. The Bears took the lead 14-7, seconds before half time on a 10 yard pass from Jordan Monroe to Damian Couthren. In the 3rd period the Bears lengthened their lead to 26-7 on a 1 yard run by Hector LeBoy and a 41 yard pass from Monroe to Couthren. Reed's second touchdown for Del Valle brought the score to 26-14. Bastrop scored a safety to end the 3rd quarter at 28-14. Kevin Klaus started the scoring in the 4th quarter with a 28 yard field goal. Reed’s 1 yard touchdown run for Del Valle dropped the lead to 31-21. LeBoy ended the scoring on a 16 yard run giving the Bears a 38-21 victory. The Bears led in 1st downs 23-13, and total yards 347-201.
